M Crowd Restaurant Group Acquires Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe

M Crowd Restaurant Group, the company behind Mi Cocina and The Mercury, is turning up the heat with the acquisition of Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe—a Texas-born brand known for unapologetically bold Cajun flavors, high-energy dining rooms, and more than three decades of fiercely loyal fans across Texas and North Carolina.

“Razzoo’s has been part of the dining fabric for over 30 years, and we see enormous opportunity in both its heritage and its future,” said Edgar Guevara, CEO of M Crowd Restaurant Group. “This is a brand built on flavor, fun, and community. Our focus is to protect what guests love while investing in the people, food, and experiences that make Razzoo’s special.”

With the acquisition, M Crowd plans to sharpen Razzoo’s culinary point of view and elevate the overall guest experience without losing the spirit that made the brand a staple. Early priorities include refining core, heritage dishes—fan favorites like the Seafood Combo Platter and seasonal crawfish boils—while refreshing the beverage program to better match the restaurant’s lively, anything-but-quiet atmosphere.

“Razzoo’s has a great story, and our job is to tell it in a way that feels authentic, current, and unmistakably Razzoo’s,” said Diana Isaacson, Vice President of Marketing at M Crowd Restaurant Group. “Guests come for the food, the fun, and the personality. Our marketing will lean into those strengths and reconnect people with what they already love about the experience.”

As part of the deal, all 11 existing Razzoo’s locations will remain open across Texas and North Carolina, ensuring continuity for longtime guests while setting the stage for renewed momentum. The restaurants span Arlington, Cedar Hill, Fort Worth (Cityview and Alliance), Harker Heights, McKinney, Mesquite, Round Rock, Stafford, downtown Fort Worth’s Sundance Square, and Concord, North Carolina.

The addition of Razzoo’s brings a distinctly different kind of energy to M Crowd’s growing portfolio—one rooted in bold flavors, casual celebration, and strong local followings. The move underscores the group’s broader strategy: invest in brands with deep community ties and give them the resources to thrive.

“Razzoo’s has built real, lasting relationships with guests over many years,” Guevara added. “We’re proud to support the team, honor the brand’s history, and inject fresh energy into a restaurant experience that so many people already know and love.”
