The Texas Rangers have always understood something most teams don’t: the food is part of the show. Globe Life Field has been raising the bar on ballpark concessions since it opened, and the 2026 lineup might be the most ambitious yet. Bring your appetite and possibly a change of clothes.
Let’s start with the hat you can eat. The 9th Inning Rally Sombrero is a 26-inch fried tortilla shell shaped into a wearable sombrero, loaded with a nine-layer dip — refried beans, cheddar, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, black olives, jalapeños and shredded lettuce — served with tortilla chips. The instructions are delightfully simple: eat the nachos, then wear the hat and rally. Whether you actually put it on your head is between you and your dignity. Find it at the Texas 24″ Stand, Section 32.
The New Menu: Something for Everyone (and Their Cardiologist)

The Sombrero gets the headlines, but the full 2026 lineup deserves attention. The Texas Ribeye Sandwich brings grilled Nolan Ryan Beef ribeye with chimichurri and arugula on a soft roll. If you want to go even more premium, the Texas Tenderloin Sandwich stacks sliced Nolan Ryan Beef tenderloin with Gouda, dijonnaise and balsamic-dressed arugula on brioche — the kind of thing that makes you question why you ever settled for a pretzel. The High Steaks Nachos pile chopped tenderloin over white queso, pico, salsa and sour cream. All three are at Section 106.
Hot dogs are taken very seriously here. The Elote Dawwg tops a jumbo all-Angus beef dog with roasted corn, chili-lime crema and cotija cheese. The Hawwt Dawwg Biscuits & Gravy goes full Texas breakfast — double-battered, deep-fried dog on a split buttermilk biscuit smothered in country gravy. The Texas Tamale Torta packs pork tamales into a bolillo roll with salsa verde and chili-lime crema. The Pig Kahuna — teriyaki-glazed pork patty with grilled pineapple and peanut butter sauce — is available exclusively via mobile order through the MLB app and is as unhinged as it sounds. The Pork Wings, tossed in Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce at Sections 23, 123 and 230, round out a very pork-forward season.
Sweet tooth? The Churro Helmet Sundae arrives in a souvenir batting helmet loaded with Blue Bell ice cream, warm churros, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The Chicken Tender Helmet takes the helmet concept in a savory direction: 12 tenders and two pounds of fries. Both are technically shareable. The Loaded Pretzels come in jalapeño cheddar, everything-seasoned or cinnamon sugar. Dirty Sodas at Section 126 let you build your own with fountain soda, syrup and toppings. Mocktails are now available at the Barrel Up Bars — a solid call for anyone who wants something interesting in their cup that isn’t beer number four.
Before you spend $40 on individual items, consider this: sections 27–33 in left field are the All-You-Can-Eat seats, and they are one of the best deals in baseball. Tickets start around $39 and include unlimited grilled chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, footlong hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn and soft drinks for the entire game — served cafeteria-style from a dedicated concession area that requires a wristband scan to enter. The nacho bar alone — with vats of cheese and all the toppings — justifies the ticket price. Lines move fast, you’re in home run territory in left field, and you can honestly go back between nearly every inning without missing a pitch. For families and groups, it’s the move.
Hurtado Barbecue: Still the Anchor for Texas Rangers

None of this overshadows the best permanent addition Globe Life Field has made in recent years. Arlington’s own Hurtado Barbecue runs a full operation at Section 101 — beef ribs, brisket sandwiches, birria tacos and brisket-topped elote, all smoked on-site in two Oyler rotisserie smokers inside the stadium. Out-of-town visitors who wander over expecting standard ballpark fare leave stunned. Texas Monthly called it a genuine win for Rangers fans when it debuted in 2023, and it’s only gotten sharper since.
Beyond the Food
The Rangers also unveiled a new permanent retail store called The Clubhouse in the west marketplace of the main concourse. On the promotional side, the team is offering 38 giveaway items this season — the most in franchise history — including bobbleheads, replica jerseys, a dog toy and a vinyl record. The Nolan Ryan Bloody Lip Jersey on May 29 is an all-fans giveaway, so no racing the gates required.
The team itself has come out of the gate strong, going 4-2 on the opening road trip through Philadelphia and Baltimore — only the second time since 1992 the Rangers have won back-to-back series to open a season on the road. Good baseball and a 26-inch nacho hat. There are worse ways to spend a spring evening in Arlington.
