Tiffany Derry Is Throwing a Crawfish Boil on June 28: Here’s What You Need to Know

Chef Tiffany Derry and Tom Foley are hosting the Annual Crawfish Boil at Roots Southern Table on Sunday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — and if you know anything about what Sunday afternoons look like at this restaurant in Farmers Branch, you already know this is worth clearing your calendar for.

The format is exactly what a crawfish boil should be: all-you-can-eat crawfish, smashburgers and sausages available alongside, cocktails and beverages to keep things moving, and the kind of come-as-you-are atmosphere that doesn’t ask anything of you except your appetite. Regular dinner service will not be running during the event, so the whole kitchen and team are focused entirely on the afternoon.

Derry and Foley will both be on-site, which means the people who built this restaurant will be working the room the way they do on any other day — greeting guests, making sure the food is right, and doing what Roots was built to do.

Tickets are required for guests 13 and older and reservations are on OpenTable. This one will sell out — it always does — so book sooner rather than later. Roots Southern Table is at 13050 Bee Street, Suite 160, Farmers Branch. June 28, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
