Café Olivia is Finally Open on Weekends, and it’s Bringing Yoga with it

Café Olivia has been a weekday-only operation since it opened its first Addison location last fall, which meant anyone who worked a normal schedule had exactly five days a week to get in. That changes Saturday, July 25, when both the Addison spot and the newer downtown Dallas location inside the Arts Tower start opening Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It’s the first weekend service either location has offered, and Café Olivia is treating the launch like an actual occasion rather than just flipping the sign to open. Both days of opening weekend come with a grand opening celebration, and the first 50 guests each day get a free pastry. Saturday morning starts at 9 with a complimentary yoga and Pilates class, plus wellness vendors on site and a bloom bar where guests can build their own flower bouquets.

“Expanding into weekends has always been something our guests have asked for, and we’re excited to finally bring Café Olivia’s full experience to Saturdays and Sundays,” said founder Adrian Verdin. “We wanted to create more than just a brunch destination — we wanted to create a place where people can gather, connect, enjoy food and drinks, and make wellness part of their weekend routine.”

The weekend menu keeps a few of the café’s regulars in rotation, including the vanilla bean milk bread French toast with berry compote and whipped mascarpone, and the Olivia sandwich, built on toasted milk bread with house-roasted sliced chicken and green goddess pesto. Three new dishes join them. Aurora is a bowl of raw cacao overnight oats with coconut vegan yogurt, matcha chia, toasted coconut, fresh berries, house granola, and wildflower honey, priced at $16. The Daylight Bowl runs $14 and combines sweet potatoes, farro, a soft scrambled egg, charred tomato, avocado, garlic spinach, charred halloumi, pumpkin seeds, and lemon tahini, with chorizo, chicken, or steak available to add on. The Rocky, at $24, is a 6-ounce steak served alongside crispy smashed potatoes, soft scrambled eggs from Cedar Ridge, salsa roja, and dressed arugula.

The drink menu got a weekend-specific overhaul too. Three new lattes are joining the lineup: the After Glow, made with coconut milk, blue spirulina, blueberry, honey, and a yogurt collagen peptide cloud; Nana’s, built on homemade banana milk, café de olla, cinnamon, and sea salt; and the Oatchata Matcha, which pairs matcha with house-made oatchata, vanilla cloud, and cinnamon. On the cocktail side, the Dessert Bloom is an 18-hour cold brew with orange, a splash of coconut milk, vanilla bean cloud, and orange zest.

The Weekend Ritual combines vodka, coffee liqueur, fresh espresso, café de olla, vanilla foam, cinnamon, and orange zest. The Garden keeps things simpler with gin, cucumber, lime, mint, and wildflower honey, and Betty’s Bloody comes rimmed in za’atar and sea salt, built on tequila, tomato, lemon, Calabrian chili, olive brine, black pepper, and a charcuterie spear.

Weekend service runs every Saturday and Sunday going forward, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at both the downtown Dallas location at 2200 Ross Ave. and the Addison location at 14551 Dallas Pkwy. More details are at cafeoliviatx.com or on Instagram.
