Still Hungry at 2 a.m. on Halloween? Here’s Where Dallas-Fort Worth Eats Lat

The costumes are wrinkled, the fake blood is smeared and somebody in your group just announced they are starving. Welcome to 2 a.m. on Halloween.

Good news. Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, which means the clocks roll back and you get the 1 o’clock hour all over again. Dallas-Fort Worth has some great places to spend it, and we know exactly what we’re ordering at every one.

Dallas

Start with the legend. DanSungSa in Koreatown is built like a Seoul street pub, every inch of the wooden walls covered in graffiti, K-pop blasting and a kitchen that runs until 4:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. This place is just warming up when everyone else is turning off the lights. Get the topokki, those chewy, fiery rice cakes, a platter of Korean fried chicken and a Seoul Mule made with ginger-infused soju. Bourdain loved it. Find it at 11407 Emerald St., Suite 121.

Lemmon Street Tacos never closes, and at this hour that’s all you need to know. Bring the whole crew and go big with the 25-taco trompo special. Nobody will argue about splitting the check. It’s at 4422 Lemmon Ave., open 24 hours.

Downtown, Twisted Trompo keeps the al pastor spinning until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Order it carved straight off the trompo and eat it before you even get back to the car. It’s at 1211 Commerce St.

Want a booth, a waitress and a cup of coffee? Head to Oak Cliff. Metro Diner has been open every single hour since 1964, jukebox and all, and it’s never more charming than at 3 a.m. Order breakfast, whatever the clock says. We told the full story of how Metro Diner has been open every hour since 1964 this summer. It’s at 2316 W. Davis St., open 24 hours.

Over on Irving Boulevard, Taqueria Taxco is a full sit-down restaurant that simply never closes. More than 7,000 Google reviews say a lot of great nights have ended right here. Go for the all-day breakfast, or order a pack of trompo tacos for the table. It’s at 2909 Irving Blvd., open 24 hours.

In Deep Ellum, the last stop of the night is a two-for-one. Serious Pizza slings slices the size of a hubcap until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and you should absolutely get one. Right next door, Cafe Brazil runs all night on weekends, and its banana bread French toast or the spinach crepes are the best thing you can eat at 4 a.m. in this city. They’re at 2807 and 2815 Elm St.

Fort Worth

Ol South Pancake House

Fort Worth likes to call it a night a little earlier, so start the late-night run here and finish it at Ol’ South.

Rogers Roundhouse, near the zoo, keeps its kitchen hot until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The Wagyu burger with sweet potato fries is the move, plus a basket of fried pickles for the table. It’s at 1616 Rogers Road.

Downtown, J&B Provisions is the new pizza spot on Houston Street, serving until 1:30 a.m. and just a few steps from Sundance Square. Grab a pie for the group. It’s at 611 Houston St.

And then there’s Ol’ South Pancake House, where Fort Worth has been ending its nights for generations. It never closes. Order the German pancake, squeeze the lemon over the top, or go all in on chicken-fried steak and eggs. It’s at 1509 S. University Drive, open 24 hours.

Happy Halloween, enjoy the extra hour and please grab a ride home. The pancakes taste even better when someone else is driving.
