The Bloom Lounge in Plano Serves Brunch Every Day of the Week

Most brunch spots make you wait for the weekend. The Bloom Lounge in Plano serves brunch every day of the week, starting at 9 a.m., in a dining room hung with flowers that looks ready for a bridal shower even on a Tuesday. It sits in a shopping center at 6145 Windhaven Parkway, Suite 120 and on weekends the tables fill with friends and birthday groups.

The place has a sweet backstory. Owner Jorge Saab built his name on rum cakes first, with Rum Cakes Factory in the same plaza, and opened The Bloom Lounge right alongside it in January 2024. You can see the connection on the menu, where the specialty pancakes are credited to Rum Cakes Factory.

Japanese Pancakes

Those pancakes are the reason to go, and the Tres Leches Pancakes are the ones to order. The stack lands tall and soft, the cakes drenched in tres leches sauce until the bottom layers turn almost custardy, like the classic three-milk cake that gives them their name. A cloud of Chantilly cream sits on top, and a dusting of cinnamon adds just enough warmth to keep all that sweetness from tipping over the edge.

Cut down through the stack and the fork pulls up milk-soaked crumb that tastes like a birthday party at your tía’s house. It’s rich, so share it as a table dessert and nobody walks away overdone. The menu also offers honey butter, churro and berry versions on the same base.

On the savory side, the Italian Benedict is the plate that holds its own next to all that sugar. Toasted English muffins are layered with thin, salty ribbons of prosciutto and a bright swipe of green pistachio pesto, then topped with poached eggs and a blanket of hollandaise finished with shaved Parmesan. Break the yolks and they run into the pesto and the sauce, and the herbal, nutty edge of the pistachio cuts right through the butter. The papas bravas alongside arrive crisp and golden, ready to drag through whatever yolk and hollandaise are left on the plate. It’s a familiar brunch order with just enough of a twist to make you rethink the version you’ve been eating for years.

There’s plenty more on the all-week brunch menu, including Shakshuka, a Steak Breakfast with ribeye and chorizo, a Croissant Florentine Benedict, a Truffle Omelette, Crispy Chicken and Bacon Waffles, Red Velvet Waffles, Nutella French Toast, Guacamole Toast and a Pork Belly Croissant.

After 11 a.m., the lunch side opens up with dishes like Pappardelle Bolognese & Burrata, a Beef Kafta Kebab Plate and Tuscan Salmon, so the brunch crowd and the lunch crowd can share a table.

Reservations are a good idea on weekends, and you can book a table online. The Bloom Lounge is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The full brunch menu is on its website, and the phone number is (972) 330-6259.
