Clandestine Chef Meeting

From the dark of the night a handful of local chefs embarked onto the Dallas Farmers Market in the wee hours of the morning. Actually it was midnight about an hour after the incredible Mavericks win.

Once a month there is a special gathering of local farmers who are typically from less than 150 miles away that set up at midnight to offer these chefs special deals that normally cannot be found during the day. Everyone is welcome to participate, but you must buy in case lots. For some individuals wishing to can, preserve or make jellies and jams, this could prove ideal.   Continue reading

Days of Taste Experience

The Crave staff took the morning off from their normal duties and assembled at the Dallas Farmers Market to participate in one of the last few Days of Taste put on by the American Institute of Wine and Food. The 8 day event is held through out the farmers market to educate 4th and 5th grade elementary students in Dallas public schools. Continue reading
