Cedar Open Studio Spring Show May 4

As the temperatures in Dallas become warmer, there are more events that are created to get people more involved with in the community. On Saturday, May 4th, The American Beauty Mill Lofts will host their annual Cedar Open Studio Spring Show. This will include 20 Dallas Artist with a wide arrange of talent and taste to meet the needs of any viewer. Along with the artist showing, this art show will include 6 different musical talents to create an ambiance that is festive and inviting. Although there are 20 different artist, we would like to shine the light on a few that have emerged on the Dallas scene this year and give you a sneak peak of what you should expect during this all day and night art show. The Davies Brothers Are 3 of 1

In families sometimes, artistic talents are pushed with in a group of siblings so that a bond can develop which will help the progression of the group grow. Since I have started writing, I have come across a number of families which push their artistic talents together as group, so that each member can develop a name for themselves. But one particular band of brothers whom stood out to me was the Davies Brothers. Joshua, Isaac, and Jerrod Davies are a group of brothers, which are more commonly known as 3of1. What makes them different compared to the other groups that I have come across is that they have developed a business aspect towards art which allow them to tackle any project which is thrown their way. As an artist, you find out that the best thing you can do is give back to your community and to those that need your help. Talent is given to those who can change the world, because with talent you call attention to yourself, motivating people to listen to your cause. Although I am an artist who is still emerging, I look up to those who have been leading a path for many years, understanding their talents and sharing it with others. Art is not only through gallery and museum works, sometimes it comes in the form of musical talent. Continue reading
