“You never know what’s going to happen with live theater” seemed to be the theme at the WaterTower Theater Saturday evening. During the fourth night of the run of “Chaplin the Musical,” which is based on Charlie Chaplin’s life, the show was paused for half an hour during the first act due to technical difficulties backstage, and then, a curtain mishap in the beginning fourth act hardly took away from the beautiful performances of the actors, in what could have been a disastrous night. The cast shined in the face of these difficulties, and one could hardly notice the mishaps as they performed brilliantly through them.

North Texas’ most iconic steakhouse, III Forks, will soon have another location to serve Texas diners. The beloved restaurant based in Frisco will add an Addison location set to open in late 2024. The restaurant will be in Village on the Parkway at 5100 Belt Line Road. It is a return to the Dallas North Tollway Corridor for III Forks, which had a location on Dallas Parkway for 22 years before opening in Frisco.

For the first time in its 11-year history, Vitruvian Lights is kicking off the season BEFORE Black Friday. The tree lighting of the largest FREE holiday lights display in North Texas is moving up a week to Saturday, Nov. 18. Santa will “flip the switch” at 6 p.m. that night to turn on more than 1.5 million sparkling LED lights wrapped around 555 trees. That means we’ll have six extra days to enjoy the magic that is Vitruvian Lights!

The leaves are changing colors and it’s worth celebrating. The final Addison After Dark event of 2023 brings a fall festival to Addison Circle Park on Oct. 21. The night of FREE specialty entertainment, powered by Oncor, is themed Harvest Hayday and will offer a variety of activities, live music, food trucks and seasonal experiences. Nights under the stars in Addison have never been better.
