Tasting Tequila As Serious As Tasting Wine With Casa Noble

It was a sea of people last night at Komali in Uptown where owner Abraham Salum put on his largest Tequila tasting since Komali opened two and half years ago. The fêted brand was Casa Noble, a premium Tequila produced since the 1700s near Tequila in the state of Jalisco. Perhaps the high turnout (you could hardly move) was not a surprise, as Casa Noble CEO Jose Hermosillo had flown into Dallas to personally make the presentation as part of a promotional tour of the important Texas market. Alongside the tequilas, Komali chef Anastacia Quiñones served ‘botanas’ to suit each one.  Continue reading

Margarita Meltdown 2013 Winners And Video

The Margarita Meltdown has become one of the most anticipated festivals in Dallas during the Memorial Day weekend. Nearly 3,000 thirsty people descended upon Dallas’ Bishop Arts District on Sunday for the 3rd annual Dallas Margarita Meltdown, presented by Milagro Tequila. Thousands of drinks were mixed, poured and served, but only one margarita could be voted as the best.       Continue reading

Tres Generaciones Dinner At Komali

Three is better than one. Treat yourself to a tasty 3-course tequila dinner featuring Tres Generaciones Tequila, on Tuesday, July 24th at Uptown’s Komali.  

Beginning at 6:30 pm, mixologist Leann Berry creates and discusses the Plata, Reposado, and Anejo tequila pairings, while Chef Anastacia Quiñones serves a 3-course meal along with an amuse bouche to start off the festivities ($65 per person, plus tax and tip).  Please call 214-252-0200 for reservations, as seating is limited.
