The Laphroaig distillery is arguably the most famous distillery on Islay. The island itself is famous for its pungent, peaty malts.
One of the hottest new restaurants North of 635 is Prohibition Chicken located in downtown Lewisville. This unique restaurant that serves up the most amazing fried chicken in DFW has a private Speak Easy room in the back behind a secret panel in a phone booth. San Antonio’s Rebecca Creek Distillery, one of the largest craft distilleries in North America, has opened the Rebecca Creek Saloon inside Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. Witherspoon Distillery, a Texas-based manufacturer of premium handcrafted spirits including Witherspoon Texas Straight Bourbon, Witherspoon’s River Rum, Bonfire and Witherspoon Single Malt Whiskey, is celebrating its relocation to the heart of Old Town Lewisville with a grand opening event on Saturday, October 24 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 225 S Charles Street.
The new space, which will host event attendees, includes a 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art production facility, 5,000 square foot rick house for barrel aging, 4,000 square foot air conditioned bar and tasting area, and a 4,000 square foot outdoor garden, most of which is available for private event rentals.
