Long time Al Biernat’s Chef Michael Weinstein formerly of Neimen Marcus and Riviera has reportedly resigned his kitchen post and will be joining Robert Colombo at the Dallas-based La Reve Consultants as their corporate chef. La Reve owns Trece, Villa-O and the more recently re-opened Sfuzzi in uptown on McKinney.
We love Al Biernat’s so it will be interesting to see what the chef does at La Reve. Do not confuse this Michael Weinstein with the Dread Head Chef that goes by the same name. The “dreaded” one makes delicious dessert chips and salsas.
