Naina Opening On Lowest Greenville

Look for a new restaurant on lowest Greenville Avenue next to what was formerly Ali Baba Café. Naina will serve Thai, Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Construction is underway and the owners have applied for a liquor license. The restaurant should be operational within the next 30 days.

New Signage Up At Neighborhood Services Tavern

This photo was sent into us last night along with a note that explained that Neighborhood Services Tavern on Henderson would be called “Tried and True”. Nick Badovinus isn’t talking (yes, we attempted calls) so we will simply have to wait.

Weinstein leaves Al Biernat’s

Long time Al Biernat’s Chef Michael Weinstein formerly of Neimen Marcus and Riviera has reportedly resigned his kitchen post and will be joining Robert Colombo at the Dallas-based La Reve Consultants as their corporate chef.  La Reve owns Trece, Villa-O and the more recently re-opened Sfuzzi  in uptown on McKinney.
