Bags, Baubles and Bites

by Farah Fleurima

Last week we saw several dozen fine and fabulous people as they packed into a cozy Deep Ellum space for eats, drinks and giveaways.

The occasion was Bags, Baubles and Bites and the place was My Private Chef, a meal-delivery service by by Holly Muller the culinary creator that’s taken residence in the old Rush Patisserie shop on Elm Street. There, whilst the wine flowed and guests snacked on My Private Chef goodies like brie and fig tartlets, sushi and chocolate truffles, a drawing took place for prime, locally created goods and services: A splashy bolarti clutch, a wonderfully vintage-y Bella Rose necklace and a week’s worth of home-delivered meals from My Private Chef!

Toward the end of the fete, I wondered if the My Private Chef site was available for party rental. Because for a teeny little space, this joint was loaded with charm and set in a very cool location.
