As you are all aware the staff at Crave loves a good tour. We will be joining the crew at Scardello as they whisk away a busload of cheese-eaters to Waco. The Caprino Royale Bloombonnet is one of editor Steven Doyle’s favorite local cheeses, so we are sure he will be back with a fistful of stories to tell. There are still available seats for the tour. Here are the details from Scardello’s website:

Waco Tour Saturday, April 30th 9am-6pm
We hop on a bus and head to Waco. Starting at Brazos Valley and the Heritage Homestead, we will see cheesemaking, blacksmithing, and a working gristmill. After lunch at the Homestead Cafe, we will drive next door to one of texas’ newest goat cheese producers at Caprino Royale. Next we will check out Karen and Eric’s cheesemaking room, new aging room and goats. We’ll top off the day with a wine and cheese reception on the farm before heading back to Dallas.
