Franconia Beer Dinner At Whiskey Cake

by Steven Doyle

Monday night guests of Whiskey Cake assembled for what was billed as a fun kegger with host Dennis Wehrmann on hand to share his special brews from Franconia under the watchful eye of award winning bartender Sean Conner, with special dishes created for the night by chef TJ Lengnick.

Guests arrived at 6:30 to be greeted by a welcoming Franconia lager and passed appetizers, but soon sat to enjoy several courses of beer and food prepared by the chef.

Smoked House-Made Pastrami Balls

We were treated to some special beers brew just for this occasion using several 150 year old barrels that added to the excitement of the evening.

Guests were invited between each course to sample the next beer, and if it met with their approval to take a stein-full back to their table. As any good kegger, you could get refills of your favorites, making for an even better evening at Whiskey Cake. Look for more paired dinners soon at Whiskey Cake.  We will be sure to keep you informed here at craveDFW.
