Tweet a Beer Using Science

by Steven Doyle

Buying a beer for a friend is not only a righteous thing to do, it is also down right sexy, especially when you use the intertubes to make it all happen. Now you can use modern scientific techniques to buy your friend a beer by using one of the many new services  that allow you to tweet a beer.

Actually there is one service called Tweet-A-Beer which is powered by Chirpify, the commerce platform for Twitter. To send a beer you will need to tweet your intentions and friend’s name. Actually the service just provides a crisp virtual $5 bill to the recipient via their Paypal account. Moments later your pal will be sipping a cold, but not too pricey beer at your expense. For $5 it would probably be best if your friend was at Union Bear in Uptown Dallas where all the beer is $5.

Genius.

Any place I can get a 90 minute IPA draft for $5 is a good place. It may be only 10 oz, but that is still a heck of a deal.
