Updated Menu At Goodfriend

Many of you have experienced the amazing patio offerings at Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House. They have been open just over a year in their East Dallas digs, and have been crazy busy selling their amazing selection of brews and those killer burgers made by the crew next door at Good 2 Go Taco. There is a little pass through that enables Goodfriend to take all the credit for those burgers, but they are really being cranked out by chefs Jeana Johnson and Colleen O’Hare.

We just received word that there are a few new menu items at Goodfriend, and we will be heading over there this evening to graze through the offerings.

New additions include starters such as Fez Mezze (hummus with escalavida, goat cheese and pita chips), and fried pickles served with house ranch. Sandwiches include the Bat Out of Hell (sriracha-glazed meatloaf and smashed potatoes on challah bread), Q-Bert (pulled pork with BBQ and cheddar slaw), Bird is the Word (grilled chicken breast with glazed pears, brie, and arugula), and Cheese Please (four cheese grilled cheese on challah with tomatoes and grilled onions).

New to the burger section: El Jefe (beef burger topped with smoked brisket, bacon, jack and Swiss cheese), Schnitzengrueben (beef burger with sauerkraut, house thousand island and fried pickles) and Garden Gnome (house-blend veggie patty made from grains and butternut squash topped with Bellwether cheese).

“We have been open for over a year, and decided it was time to shake things up a bit with the menu,” says co-owner Matt Tobin. “Jeana and Colleen have created some amazing new dishes, and we’re excited to add them to our lineup.”
