We had a chance to check out the new Whole Foods in Addison yesterday and found some new additions to our favorite grocer. Back in 2011 we broke the news that the new store would replace the Richardson location, and that is exactly what happened this week. The Richardson store closed, and many of the employees found work in nearby Addison. Other employees were moved about the Metroplex.
With the new store we found some fun surprises including more taps with beer and wine at the centrally located bar within the store. Growlers have been a mainstay with Whole Foods, and they were actually the first in North Texas to offer them. Now you can enjoy some of your favorite wine on tap and even take it home in bottles ranging in size of just a few glasses up to a full growler. If your favorite drinking buddy missed you at the store you can buy them a drink and have it waiting for them. It was fun to note that Chuck Norris has a beer waiting in Addison, but we have it on good authority he does not drink.
You can still find your favorite pizzas, sandwiches, sushi and other ready to eat items, but this Whole Foods has added a taco bar as well.
The new Addison store is hosting a little party today that starts at 4pm. Drop in and say hello to your new neighbor.
