Meet Coco, a peppy 1-year-old, 60-pound Pit Bull mix who is ready to add a little love and laughter to your life! She is a fun-loving gal who enjoys running about the dog park, playing chase, bounding after tennis balls, and partaking in a good ol’ game of tug-o-war. Basically, when she’s around, you’ll never frown! She is also a bit of a cuddle-bug and, if you let her, she is more than happy to be your little lapdog and shower you with kisses! Just remember to give her a belly rub or two.
As a family pet, she already knows her way around a home. She’s kinda energetic, so she probably should go to a home with bigger kiddos… say, over the age of 7? She is working on her loose-leash walking skills, can sit on command, as long as there is a tasty treat or two on hand, and will come when called. Yup, she is a pretty smart little lady. Just imagine what she can do with you by her side. She is also spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of her vaccinations. She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on August 19 because her previous owners just didn’t have enough time to dote on her. Shocking, right? I mean, who wouldn’t want to have her by their side every minute of the day? Come meet Coco today.
Meet Pretty Boy, a 6-year-old, 15-pound Domestic Shorthair mix. He came to the SPCA of Texas on December 23 because his owners are moving and can’t take him with them. He is a very special cat who is looking for a very special home. He is FIV positive, which means that his immune system is a little bit weaker than most kitties. SPCA of Texas adoption counselors will tell you more about how to take the best care of him, but it basically means he’ll need to be an indoor cat, either living as the only cat or with another FIV positive cat.
His human will have to keep an eye on him throughout his life, to make sure he gets to the vet if he starts to feel under the weather. A couple of vet checkups throughout the year, just to make sure he’s staying healthy, will be nice, too. He is a big and handsome guy who has the most lovable personality. He is calm, and he loves to sleep in his big beds. Chin rubs are his favorite. He has been neutered, microchipped and given all age-appropriate vaccinations. Meet Pretty Boy today. #136611
