Meet Sonic, a friendly, 71 pound, 4-year-old tan Terrier mix. He loves walks and he is easy to walk. In fact, he doesn’t even jerk at the leash. He loves treats and loves to be petted. The SPCA of Texas suggests that I may do best in a home without small children and without cats, because they cause him a little too much excitement. The SPCA of Texas also requires that you must bring in other dogs you own to “meet and greet” with him so that they can get to know each other first. He was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on May 5 because his previous owner was moving. Continue reading

Meet Coco, a peppy 1-year-old, 60-pound Pit Bull mix who is ready to add a little love and laughter to your life! She is a fun-loving gal who enjoys running about the dog park, playing chase, bounding after tennis balls, and partaking in a good ol’ game of tug-o-war. Basically, when she’s around, you’ll never frown! She is also a bit of a cuddle-bug and, if you let her, she is more than happy to be your little lapdog and shower you with kisses! Just remember to give her a belly rub or two.
As a family pet, she already knows her way around a home. She’s kinda energetic, so she probably should go to a home with bigger kiddos… say, over the age of 7? She is working on her loose-leash walking skills, can sit on command, as long as there is a tasty treat or two on hand, and will come when called. Yup, she is a pretty smart little lady. Just imagine what she can do with you by her side. She is also spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of her vaccinations. She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on August 19 because her previous owners just didn’t have enough time to dote on her. Shocking, right? I mean, who wouldn’t want to have her by their side every minute of the day? Come meet Coco today. Continue reading

Meet Vaughn, a 1-year-old, 52-pound Pointer mix. He came to the SPCA of Texas on October 11 because his owners didn’t have proper housing for him. He was kept outside 24/7, and he’s a guy who wants to be with his people. He is a great dog who is good with kids and other dogs. He is playful and energetic, but he has a tendency to get quite shy when you come in to pet him. It’s actually pretty cute.
Vaughn is a sweetheart who loves kisses and lap cuddles. He is quiet and fun, and he’ll be a great dog for someone. He has been neutered, micro-chipped and given all age-appropriate vaccinations. Come by and meet Vaughn today. #121488 Continue reading

He is heartworm positive, but his treatments are FREE to his new family at a Metroplex-area VCA Animal Hospital after he’s adopted. This will provide the best total care for heartworm positive dogs like Mack in treatment, as he’ll have access to emergency care and overnight stays if necessary.
