Last evening Top Knot hosted the second in its three-part series Uncommon Ramen event which benefits No Kids Hungry program.  Top Knot is the modern American restaurant with Asian roots that features sharable plates with market ingredients and flavors from Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Japan. The series features Chef Tyson Cole (January 30th), Austin BBQ magnate Aaron Franklin ((February 27th) and Jesse Houston from Saltine restaurant in Jackson, MS (March 27th).

Franklin knocked out over 400 bowls of his brisket-infused ramen to a raging room of guests.

You may have missed the first two events, however there is one final opportunity to enjoy one of these top chef’s ramen.

“Uncommon Ramen is such a dope event. We’ve been able to grow our presence in the food community locally and nationally, give back to a great cause and learn a lot,” comments Top Knot Chef de Cuisine Angela Hernandez.

“I am so excited to work with Jesse Houston in March. He’s been doing ramen for a while now, so it will be cool to see what he brings to the table. Since he’s been spending the last few weeks in Tulum, I’m anticipating some Mexican influence in our ramen collaboration.”
