HARWOOD International is set to present the inaugral Hope Fest: Live from HARWOOD featuring live music from local Dallas-Fort Worth artists Josh Weathers, Cas Haley, and Michael Lee on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. The inaugural event, which will take place at the HARWOOD District’s Happiest Hour, will benefit three amazing charities: Connecting Point, Cornerstone and Love Like You Mean It.

Hope Fest was started by Katelyn and Oliver Barbier-Mueller, executive vice president of HARWOOD International, as a way to give back to organizations they have been involved with for years. “Oliver and I wanted to host the event because after working in two of the organizations I saw first-hand the impact they have on the special needs community and how important they are to these families,” Katelyn said.

Connecting Point of Park Cities is an organization that provides impactful day programs for adults with special needs while integrating individuals with disabilities into the Texas communities. Cornerstone Achievement Center is a private school providing individualized support for those with special needs.

The third beneficiary, Love Like You Mean It, was created by the headliner musician of Hope Fest, Josh Weathers, and his wife, and seeks to change the treatment of young girls and women in India who are cast into trafficking. This was created after the family traveled to India and witnessed children in extreme depravity.

Hope Fest will feature three outstanding musicians including headliner Texas blues singer, Josh Weathers, Texas soul band Michael Lee & The Wartime Limousine, and Cas Haley, runner-up on season two of America’s Got Talent. “My music is rooted in hope and inspiration,” said Haley. I’m stoked to be a part of Hope Fest and to take part in this community effort to give hope.”

Entertainment will begin at 5:00 p.m. and football will be on throughout the entirety of the charity event. General admission tickets are $60 providing event-goers access to the concert as well as participation in raffles. VIP Fun Deck tickets are $150 and include unlimited beer, wine, light bites, participation in raffles and concert viewing from Happiest Hour’s upstairs patio.
