If Your Burger Has The Blues It Is A Good Thing

In an unlikely section of West Dallas they are making a burger that is altogether satisfying and rates high on our list of great Dallas burgers. Blues Burger is located on Mockingbird near Harry Hines where every good burger should be made, I suppose. But seriously, you will enjoy this one.

With a blues theme surrounded by unsuspecting elements, Blues Burger makes one tasty burger. Consider the HMF for burger aficionados so delicious that it beckons me at this very moment – days after enjoying the very beauty of its meaty essence. melted ghost pepper cheese, grilled jalapeños and onions, and a slice of applewood smoked bacon for the win.

Then there is the Trailer Park for burger purists which is an Angus patty cooked to order topped with cheddar, lettuce, pickles, onions and tomato. The beef is the true star, but the bun is fresh and sturdy and well worth a memory.

For your trashier side enjoy the Double Wide made with fried Boars Head bologna, a fried egg (you know that perked my ears), red onion, lettuce and tomato. This one is slathered on with the Texas choice of burger condiments, mustard. Ask for extra mustard for no regrets.

There are patty options such as a short rib blend for an upgrade, a veggie patty for a downgrade (just kidding vegans), and gluten free for all my celiac friends and those on odd diets wanting a burger.

Sides and starters include the Bad Penny, skewered tots with jalapenos and bacon wrapped with melted cheese.  Also enjoy the hand buttermilk battered onion rings. The queso is pretty fine, too.

Grab a friend, grab a burger, see you at Blues Burger this week.
