Hutchins BBQ Woos Aspen Food & Wine Revelers

Hutchins BBQ exhibited at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic last weekend, attracting crowds in a competitive lineup of high-end food vendors. Event-goers waited in long lines at the Grand Tasting Pavilion inside the symbolic, white-top tents of the Classic to get a taste of authentic Texas barbecue.

The Aspen Food & Wine Classic is a premier culinary event consisting of three days of cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, and panel discussions set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Renowned chefs and wine experts head to Aspen each year for inspiration and to showcase new and innovative menu items. This is the second year Hutchins BBQ has made the event and has now become a staple to recurring attendees. Attendees raved about Hutchins BBQ offerings, which included Texas Prime Brisket, Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage and Texas Twinkies. Professional basketball player Dwayne Wade, who was exhibiting his new wine, also enjoyed Hutchins’ Texas barbecue.

On Saturday morning, The Lift, a local morning show for television station Aspen 82, invited Wes Hutchins on the show for a demonstration. The Hutchins BBQ team shared their Texas Prime Brisket, Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage, Texas Twinkies, Original BBQ Sauce and Brisket Seasoning on air and for the cast and crew of The Lift. The crew dubbed the food “the best we’ve ever had!”
