Asian Mint and award-winning Chef/Owner Nikky Phinyawatana is hosting a virtual “Escape to Thailand” to celebrate the holidays like Nikky used to in Bangkok, Thailand with a cooking class featuring holiday recipes and stories from Nikky on Wednesday, December 16 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Since so many people can’t travel this holiday season, Nikky hopes to transport her guests to Thailand to give the feel of a New Year getaway! Nikky will teach participants how to make some of her favorite Thai holiday recipes including Tom Yum/Tom Kha Soup and Pad Thai with Nikky’s special sauce and easy recipes. These soups are soul-comforting and staples in Thai cuisine.
Pad Thai is another favorite Thai dish perfect for a delicious, easy meal. Vegan and pescatarian options are also available. The class will also have a special guest, Priya Patel, creator/founder of Intention Table. Priya created the Intention Table because she believes that food can be an amazing tool for self-discovery. For her, food is medicine and she promotes mindful eating. Her passion is offering unforgettable experiences that are delicious, promote transformation, and meaningful connections. Priya will guide guests through a sample of an eating meditation/mindfulness practice.
Nikky is on a mission to “feed souls” with food, culture and travel. This virtual cooking series is one of her favorite ways of connecting with others on a more personal level. She explains, “It feeds my soul just as much as I hope it does our guests.”
