Oreste’s, the much-anticipated addition to the vibrant culinary scene at Trinity Groves, is thrilled to announce its grand opening this month. Oreste’s is a concept brought to the development by Jay Valley, the Culinary Director at Trinity Groves, who has 45 years in the business. He has been a part of the Trinity Groves family in West Dallas for a decade.
Phil Romano tapped Jay from the Rosewood Hotel Group, where he worked at the Crescent and the Mansion, to lead Eatzi’s as corporate chef and CEO. Jay teamed up with Phil once again in 2015 to open the acclaimed and highly successful Saint Rocco’s New York Italian restaurant in Trinity Groves. He was also critical in the development of Sum Dang Good, a Chinese restaurant at Trinity Groves.
“Jay has been working with my family for as long as I can remember,” said Sam Romano, partner in West Dallas Investments at Trinity Groves. “His cooking never disappoints – we are delighted to offer his talents to the new breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus at Trinity Groves.”
Oreste’s is the first of many new arrivals and changes to enter the scene at Trinity Groves this summer – including pickle ball courts and new dessert spots, and will be the first restaurant to offer a breakfast and coffee menu. The restaurant will also have a Bocce ball court, providing a perfect setting for friendly competition and lively gatherings. With views of the Dallas skyline, the restaurant has a dog-friendly patio.
“We are thrilled to introduce Oreste’s to the Trinity Groves community and are excited for the arrival of many new additions and culinary experiences this Summer,” said Jay Valley, Culinary Director at Trinity Groves. “I was introduced to the culinary arts by my Italian parents, who were known for their homemade pasta, tomato sauce and fresh baked bread. Oreste’s draws on that inspiration in a quick-serve environment with a commitment to authentic flavors.”
Named after Saint Rocco’s loyal canine companion, Oreste’s offers a unique blend of New York pizza, quick-serve lunch options, and full-service dining – promising an authentic taste of Italy in the heart of Dallas. Drawing inspiration from the rich dining traditions of Italy, Oreste’s diverse menu features a mouthwatering selection of pizzas, Pazzinis, cannolis, and Italian street food.
