As spring blossoms in Dallas, the iconic steakhouse Al Biernat’s embraces the season with a lineup of festive events and indulgent treats designed to celebrate warmer days and meaningful moments. From celebrating the “greatest two minutes in sports” on Kentucky Derby Day with a hat competition, specialty cocktails and bites, to savoring a slice of the legendary Al’s Famous Coconut Cream Pie on National Coconut Cream Pie Day, Al Biernat’s is serving up plenty of reasons to celebrate this spring in style.
In celebration of the Kentucky Derby, Al’s invites guests to wear their most fabulous hats for the annual hat competition. The lucky first-place winner will receive a basket including bottles of Maker’s Mark Whisky, Maker’s Mark swag, and an Al Biernat’s gift card. The second-place winner will receive a bottle of Maker’s Mark Whisky and an Al Biernat’s gift card, and the third-place winner will receive Maker’s Mark swag and an Al Biernat’s gift card.
In addition to the full menu, Al Biernat’s will have specialty small bites for the big race. Menu items include Pimiento Cheese Bites, Kentucky Brown Turkey Crostinis, Lexington Chicken Sliders, and Deviled Eggs. Al Biernat’s will feature three specialty cocktails: the Mint Julip, the Derby Spritz, and the Golden Hour, all perfect to celebrate the big race.
Don’t miss the Derby Day bites, fashion, and fun! The Kentucky Derby offerings will be available at the Oak Lawn and North locations on Saturday, May 3, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Guests can make a reservation for the patio, but tables in the bar will be first-come, first-served at both locations.
