Get ready, Dallas — Ten50 BBQ is firing up the pits and bringing its award-winning Central Texas-style barbecue to Lovers Lane. Officially opening May 12 in the Devonshire neighborhood, the new location at 5519 W Lovers Lane promises to deliver everything barbecue lovers crave: bold smoke, melt-in-your-mouth meats, and scratch-made sides served with heart.
Born in Richardson in 2014 and built on generations of culinary passion, Ten50 BBQ was co-created by Preston Evans and his late father, John Evans, a legendary figure in the restaurant industry. What started as a shared dream between father and son has grown into a barbecue destination known for doing things the right way — slow-smoked over real wood, never rushed, never compromised.
At the heart of Ten50’s magic is a no-shortcuts philosophy: USDA Prime brisket smoked to tender perfection, juicy Duroc Heritage pork ribs, smoky chicken and turkey, and crowd-favorite “torpedoes” — jalapeños stuffed with brisket or chicken, then wrapped in bacon for the perfect spicy-sweet bite. Each plate is a celebration of fire and flavor, elevated by soul-satisfying sides like five-cheese mac, brisket beans, and fried okra, along with indulgent house-made desserts straight from Ten50’s Richardson bakery.
This new Dallas location brings fresh energy to the experience with an open kitchen that showcases the pitmasters in action and a hybrid service model that blends sit-down comfort with barbecue tradition. The menu gets a few delicious upgrades too: smoked turkey clubs, pulled pork sandwiches topped with tangy slaw and crispy onions, and new must-try creations like Grilled Corn Two Ways — from classic buttered and flame-grilled to street-style elote — plus made-to-order cornbread inspired by Austin’s iconic Z’Tejas.
Don’t miss weekly specials like Pork Chop Tuesdays, Burnt End Fridays, and Beef Rib Saturdays — all reasons to come back again and again.

The 3,300-square-foot space, designed by Droese Raney Architecture, is a love letter to West Texas design — raw oak, hand-fired tile, copper, and steel come together in a modern, warm setting that honors the roots of communal barbecue. And for those looking to sip while they savor, the full bar features craft beers, tap wine, and cocktails, including the signature Frozen John Daly — a punchy mix of vodka, iced tea, lemonade, and fresh basil.
With this new outpost, Ten50 BBQ continues to do what it does best: bring people together over incredible barbecue, served with integrity and tradition. As Preston Evans puts it, “This isn’t about reinventing barbecue — it’s about presenting it with pride, purpose, and a personality that feels like home.”
