Dallas, Renny’s has quietly earned a reputation as a spot where approachable food meets thoughtful execution. Part of the Maguire family’s hospitality ventures—originally tied to the now-closed Maguire’s—the restaurant balances comfort with refinement. Seasonal touches appear alongside familiar dishes, each plate highlighting quality ingredients with a subtle, modern flair. Dinner here feels effortless yet clearly crafted, inviting both casual diners and those seeking a more polished experience.

Inside Renny’s is ’Stache, a speakeasy designed by Maddie Maguire and named for the founder’s grandfather and his iconic mustache. The space is intimate and full of playful details: snake-print wallpaper, decanter lighting, an ice-cube-style chandelier, and rich, colorful furniture that encourages guests to linger. Vintage photos of Renny line the walls, adding warmth and a personal, family-centered character to the bar.

The holiday cocktail program is a highlight, shaped by the expertise of Evelyn Goldstein, one of the bartenders at Renny’s, alongside longtime ’Stache bartender Joe Vallez. Together, they’ve crafted a lineup that balances classic technique with seasonal flair, creating drinks that match the speakeasy’s cozy atmosphere while celebrating the holidays.

This season, the cocktails are particularly festive. The New Year’s Eve Eve cocktail is a bright gin sour with just a hint of Christmas spice, crisp and refreshing. The Cinnamon Sleigh Margarita combines brown sugar rum with red apples, evoking winter in a glass with warmth and spice. And the Chocolate Negroni, rich and smooth, makes for a dessert-like sip perfect for chilly Dallas evenings. Each drink is carefully balanced, designed to delight the palate and the senses, and showcase the skill and creativity behind the bar.

Renny’s and ’Stache offer more than a meal—they provide a reason to linger, savor, and celebrate the season. With inventive holiday cocktails like the New Year’s Eve Eve, Cinnamon Sleigh Margarita, and Chocolate Negroni, guests can experience the flavors of winter crafted with care, balance, and a touch of festive spirit. These drinks, designed to delight throughout the season, make Renny’s a destination not just for dinner, but for lingering evenings filled with warmth, conversation, and memorable sips that carry the holidays
