After more than two decades as a neighborhood favorite across New York City, Little Ruby’s—the original concept from Wish You Were Here Group—is expanding beyond the East Coast. The restaurant will open its first out-of-state location in Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood on Monday, February 2.
Founded in 2002, Little Ruby’s will debut at 23Springs, 2305 Cedar Springs Rd., Suite 150. The concept is known for blending Sydney’s relaxed coastal culture with New York City’s vibrant energy, delivering warm hospitality, fresh dishes, and a polished yet approachable all-day dining experience.
“Dallas felt like the natural next chapter for Little Ruby’s,” says founder Nick Mathers. “The warmth of the people and the city’s hospitality immediately felt like home. There’s also a natural connection between Texas and Australia—an easygoing, authentic energy that we want guests to feel the moment they walk in.”
The Uptown location features a 1,790-square-foot dining room and a 950-square-foot patio, seating approximately 100 guests indoors, plus eight bar seats and 56 patio seats. The layout easily accommodates everything from quick visits to long, social meals.
Designed by Mathers and Wish You Were Here Group’s in-house team led by Monica Ruma, the interiors reflect the brand’s signature warmth and refinement. Red travertine floors, white oak millwork, and custom furnishings set a relaxed tone, while a custom cowhide wall installation by Texas-based artist Kyle Bunting, a bronze mirror back bar, and a garden-style patio add character and depth.

Little Ruby’s is designed to feel instantly familiar—an everyday destination that evolves throughout the day. Evenings bring dimmer lighting and a more intimate vibe for dinner and drinks, while weekend brunch feels bright, energetic, and social.
The all-day menu focuses on comforting, elevated dishes made with locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Highlights include the Bronte Burger with a seven-ounce beef patty, spinach, Swiss cheese, sweet chili, and mayo; Spicy Vodka Pasta with canestri, parmesan, basil, and chives; Ricotta Hotcakes with whipped maple butter and banana; Chicken Schnitzel Salad with creamed corn and bibb lettuce; and the Crispy Rice Bowl with puffed wild rice, halloumi, a sunny-side egg, and ginger-lemon dressing.
The beverage program includes a full coffee menu, premium Japanese matcha drinks, spritzes on tap (also available to-go), classic cocktails made with fresh ingredients, espresso martinis with freshly brewed espresso, and smoothies boosted with probiotics, collagen, colostrum, fruits, and protein.
With more than 20 years of history as the group’s founding concept, Little Ruby’s arrives in Dallas aiming to become the city’s next great neighborhood restaurant—approachable, welcoming, and infused with a touch of escape.
Little Ruby’s opens Monday, February 2, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
