Legacy West will host its 5th Annual Fat Tuesday Parade on February 17, bringing a festive yet family-friendly Mardi Gras celebration to Plano. The evening will be led by the Townview Big D Band and will feature live music, entertainment, and community gathering throughout the property. The event is free to attend, and guests are encouraged to reserve space in advance via Eventbrite.
Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. with a pre-parade block party near the Nike parklet along Windrose Avenue. Attendees can enjoy live DJ music, complimentary commemorative beads, and face painting. With more than 20 restaurants and eateries throughout Legacy West, guests have a wide range of dining options before and after the parade.
The parade steps off at 6:30 p.m. from the intersection of Worth Street and Windrose Avenue. The Townview Big D Band, recognized nationally for its performance excellence, will lead the procession down Windrose Avenue, concluding with a finale performance at Legacy Hall’s Box Garden.

Parking & Street Closures:
Parallel parking along Windrose Avenue will be unavailable throughout the day. Guests are encouraged to use garage parking. Windrose Avenue, from Worth Street to Legacy Hall, will be temporarily closed from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. to accommodate the parade.
