DL Mack’s Opening in West Village

Vandelay Companies will open its third D.L. Mack’s on Wednesday, March 4, in Uptown Dallas’ West Village, taking over the former Midici space at 3699 McKinney Avenue, Suite 106. The Chicago-inspired tavern brings back its core favorites while adding a handful of new dishes to the mix.

The Dallas-based group continues its measured expansion in West Village, where D.L. Mack’s joins the recently opened Hudson House, with Ten Ramen slated to follow later this year. The concept, which debuted in University Park in 2021 and expanded to Preston Hollow in 2022, channels the feel of a classic Midwest corner tavern — relaxed, familiar, and built around comfort food done well.

The menu’s anchor is its Chicago tavern-style cracker-crust pizza. Standouts include the Honey Truffle Chicken with white sauce, chili flakes, and arugula; Return of the Mack with sausage, giardiniera, and sweet onions; and the Spicy Vodka with ZaZa sauce, basil, and Chicago peppers. Beyond pizza, guest favorites include D.L. Mack’s Famous Chicken Tenders with honey mustard and barbecue sauce, Mozzarella Bites, Spicy Rigatoni, The Chopped McCarthy salad, and a fully loaded Cheeseburger.

New additions at West Village include a chilled Jalapeño Queso Dip, the Hickory Burger with cheddar, Canadian bacon, jalapeño, and hickory sauce, Chi pasta with Calabrian chiles and parmesan, a Grilled Chicken Burger with truffle aioli, and a rich Truffle Burger topped with gruyere, bacon, gorgonzola, arugula, and truffle aioli.

The bar program focuses on polished classics — martinis, Manhattans with Rittenhouse Rye, and Margaritas — alongside house cocktails like the Lemon Drop Martini, Southside, and frozen Paloma and Peach Bellini.

The 4,600-square-foot space nods to a retro Chicago pizzeria with maroon and kelly green accents, Tiffany-style lighting, and vintage sports memorabilia layered into gallery walls.

D.L. Mack’s West Village will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with daily happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. at the bar featuring $10 martinis and half-price wine. Reservations are available at dlmacks.com.
