Shell Shack is opening a new Arlington location on April 27 at 4000 Five Points Blvd., Suite 101, with hours running daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. It’s the brand’s second location in Arlington, joining the existing spot at Lincoln Square.
Shell Shack started in Uptown Dallas in 2013 and built its following on a simple idea: fresh seafood boils, fully customizable, served the way they’re meant to be — dumped straight onto the table. You pick your seafood from king crab, snow crab, Bairdi, shrimp, lobster tail, or live crawfish, then choose your seasoning: Cajun, garlic, lemon pepper, or the Kitchen Sink, which combines all of them. Heat runs from mild to extra spicy. Everything comes out hot in a bag with corn, potatoes, and sausage, then gets poured in front of you. It’s messy, communal, and that’s the point.
The new space is 3,727 square feet with seating for 161, including a 22-seat patio. Beyond the boils, the menu covers wings, gumbo, crab-stuffed tater tots, crazy crab fries, po’boys, oysters, catfish, and a handful of non-seafood options for anyone at the table who isn’t into shellfish. The bar runs specialty cocktails alongside $4 domestic beers, $6 imports, and $5 shot specials all day. Happy hour runs twice — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 10 p.m. to close.
To mark the opening, Shell Shack is offering crawfish at $7 per pound from April 27 through May 3.
