55 Seventy continues its 2026 Guest Chef Series on Monday, May 4 with David Uygur, chef-owner of Lucia. The dinner is members-only and limited in size.
Lucia has a long-standing reputation in Dallas for a tightly run kitchen built on house-made pastas, whole-animal butchery, and a menu that changes with product availability. Reservations there are consistently difficult to secure, which makes an off-site dinner like this relatively rare.
The format is straightforward: reception at 6:30 p.m., seated dinner at 7:00 p.m., and a post-dinner reception at 9:00 p.m.
The menu looks tight:
- Mortadella with peas, pistachios, and spring legumes
- Grilled red carabineros with green garlic butter and guajillo vinaigrette
- Cavatelli with ’nduja and mussels
- Stuffed rabbit loin with morels
- Strawberry cake with pecan streusel
This menu reflects Uygur’s typical approach—ingredient-driven, restrained, and technically solid without unnecessary elements.
55 Seventy’s kitchen, led by Josh Sutcliff, provides a controlled setting that suits this kind of cooking.
A portion of proceeds will benefit the Southern Smoke Foundation, which provides financial assistance to food and beverage workers in crisis. Tickets are $250 per person, plus tax and gratuity, with an optional wine pairing. Seating is limited and available to members only via the club’s reservation channels.
