Fort Worth’s Westside Village Announces One-of-a-Kind Riverfront Concept

Fort Worth is getting a new front porch. Westside Village will welcome Levee Porch, a concept created by Chimy’s owner and operator, Kyle Wright and Jason Finley, intertwined with a Fort Worth outpost of Tailwaters Fly Fishing Co.

Designed as both a family-friendly destination and a waypoint, this original concept will bring together river culture and hospitality, serving as a place to browse fly fishing gear and merchandise, grab a beer and food with friends, listen to music, and plan your next fly fishing trip while casting out rods on the river.

Nearly 1,500 square feet of Tailwaters retail floor space will open onto a layered outdoor experience, where Levee Porch unfolds. Approximately 400 square feet of laid-back bar area flows into an intimate, shaded 500-square-foot covered porch with a walk-up bar window. The patio is slightly elevated with stairs leading to a beer garden below.

Levee Porch was conceived by Kyle Wright and Jason Finley, the team behind Chimy’s, which has spent more than 25 years building a loyal community of customers across multiple locations with its casual, high-energy approach to food and gathering. The menu will feature approachable, craveable handhelds, including burgers, hot dogs, cheesesteak sandwiches, and Cubans, paired with ice-cold beer, mojitos, and margaritas. It is equally suited for a casual lunch with friends or family, or an afternoon spent along the river.

“The Levee Porch will be a laid back, fast casual hideaway that will be a ton of fun for the family and a perfect place for a biker or kayaker to come down the trail and find an oasis on the West Fork of the Trinity. Handheld bites will be paired by craft cocktails and ice cold beer,” Wright said. “Wander into the LP bar, and you will find the nautical door that leads you to our buddies at Tailwaters Fly Fishing Shop. We hope to create a unique experience that is both community driven and tailored to the avid adventure seeker.”
