We love Scardello for their wonderful selection of cheeses, the affordable wine, and those mighty fine grilled cheese sandwiches. But what many may not know is that they provide these amazing cheese classes and events. Check out some of the upcoming events and sign up online today. These are intimate and fill quickly. California Cheese and Wine Thursday, March 6 at 7 p.m.

$35 per person

One of the greatest wine producing states is also one of the greatest cheese producing areas. Explore California’s rich bounty! From David Jacks first wheel of Monterey Jack in 1882, to the fantastic artisan producers making cheese today, we will discuss the history and origins of California cheese and wine.

Late Night Friday, March 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

From 8 to 10 p.m. listen to a little live jazz and nosh on the near perfect food (cheese!) along with libations. No Cover. $6 wines by the glass. No reservations needed, just come early and grab a seat! So join us for cheese, wine or just to unwind!

Red-Headed Cheese and Beer Thursday, March 13 at 7 p.m.

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day and what better way to celebrate than with savory washed-rind cheeses paired with some of our favorite beers. Join us as we explore an assertive and sometimes misunderstood group of cheeses and how the monks got it right when they paired them with beer!

Cheese 101 Thursday, March 20 at 7 p.m.

$35 per person

Join Scardello and nibble your way through the different cheese types. Experience comparative tastings of cheese and out-of-the-ordinary items that will help you focus on the distinct flavors of each cheese type. We will cover the basics on how cheese is made and answer questions about cheese pairing fundamentals. Of course, there will be soothing libations provided for enjoyment in the relaxing atmosphere of the shop!

Fondue Night Friday, March 21 at 8 p.m.

$40 per person

Dinner will include an amuse-bouche; authentic, three-mountain cheese fondue with salamis, bread, and fruit; green salad; and a dessert of locally made chocolate truffles. Also included is a glass of sparkling wine to start or end your evening. Other wine and beer is available for purchase by the glass or bottle. Space is limited.

Tour de Fromage – Ryder Cup Edition Friday, March 28 at 7 p.m.

$35 per person

Cheese wars are back! This year we’ve condensed the competition into one night, and we will pit the Americans against the Europeans. The night features a blind tasting of cheeses from the two competing areas, and at the end of the night, a victor will be crowned. Only one can claim the Tour victory and wear the yellow jersey!

Scardello Artisan Cheese offers traditionally made, handcrafted and artisan foods, with approximately 140 cut-to-order seasonal cheeses, including European imports, American artisan cheese and a large selection of native Texas cheeses, plus charcuterie, artisan breads, spreads, and wine and beer.
