The South Side of Lamar will host its indoor flea market The Dallas Flea Saturday March 26 from 9:00 to 4:00 and feature some unique local artisans, musicians, food vendors and is like no other in our area. Over 70 vendors will be on hand displaying antiques, hand-crafted items, clothing, and artisan edibles.
Among the vendors includes Belle of the Cake Ball, an Austin cakery that makes a fine rendition of a wedding cake. Imagine all the goodness of a wedding without the drunken uncle and nasty court proceedings to follow. Belle also has a mean German chocolate cake ball, and an oozy boozy drunken turtle cake ball.
Another unique Dallas vendor is F. is for Frank, a purveyor of cool baubles for the home hand crafted from pewter. Also enjoy Franks ornaments, belt buckles, dog tags, and other items of interest.
Kate Reed Designs from Fort Worth will be on hand displaying their studio letterpress stationary. Amazing letters always deserve amazing paper, and you will have a wide range to select from Saturday.
There will be plenty of hand made soaps, kitchen wares, objet d’art, clothing and antiques on hand to pillage through, so bring your whole crew and shop for all the upcoming weddings, birthdays and bar mitzvahs all under one roof.
It’s five bucks at the door and parking is free. You will want to come hungry and stay all day. Afterwards we suggest a fine cocktail across the street at Cedars Social, the hot new commune where the cool kids play at night and dine with one of our city’s most notorious chefs, John Tesar.
