New Bar: People’s Last Stand Opens Soon

by Steven Doyle

The People’s Last Stand  opens up Friday October 7, 2011 for a soft run through and will be offering more of the great cocktails we have been finding across the city with locally sourced tastes and flavors.

The new bar will open at 5319 Mockingbird #210 (Mockingbird Station) and promises to be relaxing and low-key from the inside to the outdoor patio with quality of the eats, drinks and service being the theme.

The design and layout of The People’s Last Stand has an environmentally conscious approach using eco-friendly metal, wood, and glass as the primary building materials. Additionally, 90% of all foods, produce, and ingredients served come from natural and organic local sources.

They claim they will have the finest cheeses and meats on natural wood boards and serve salads and panini’s named for local historical icons.

There is also a scream about the craft brews they plan on tackling.

You will find Cedar Social alumni Omar Yeefoon on board here as bar manager, so it should be fantastic.  Omar is also in a local band called J Charles and the Train Robbers.

Now what could some of those local historic icons be?
