It has been a dizzying few days for those attempting to keep track of the many chef movements in Dallas. Yesterday we reported that TJ Lengnick had left Whiskey Cake and made his way to Stephan Pyles. Last night TJ called to say he is on the move once again, this time he will be back home to take the reins at Shinsei as the executive chef.
Shinsei is the Asian restaurant owned by Tracy Rathbun and Lynae Fearing and is located on Inwood near Lovers Lane in Dallas. We put a call into Rathbun and she confirmed that TJ was indeed starting as executive chef once again starting today.
“We have always maintained a good relationship and I am happy to be back in the kitchen again at Shinsei,” said Lengnick.
