Agnes Greene devoted her life to unselfishly serving others. She served on the University of North Texas Alumni Association Board Of Directors. She was an honorary co-chair for the Denton County Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk in 2010. In 2015, Agnes was honored by Philia Works of Houston, Incorporated for being an inspiration to women. She was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. She battled breast cancer three times. Agnes was loved by many and she was a blessing to all who knew her. The Agnes Lucille Craft Greene Memorial Scholarship at UNT was established by her family to honor her love for UNT and her love for helping those in need.
UNT student recipients of the Agnes Lucille Craft Greene Scholarship are either survivors of breast cancer or have a parent/legal guardian who has been affected by breast cancer. Donations can be made directly to the scholarship fund.
