Wedged between the best chicken salad you will find in Dallas, and stacks of vitamins and elixirs of health, you will find aisles of organic goodness and a population of non-GMO carrots. Ann’s Health Food Center and Market has been offering these items and much more  since 1984, that’s a might longer than many good readers were alive, and set the pace for larger digs (try 30,000 square feet ) of tasty.

There are heftier and more well known spaces in Dallas, and we won’t mention any names, but no e with the heart and soul and longevity at Ann’s. Started in the 80’s by Ann Munchrath to fill the needs of her mother who suffered from diabetes, the shop has since flourished into the patina of the neighborhood. Actually two neighborhood and the is another shop located Waxahachie where shoppers enjoy the best purely organic groceries, fruits and vegetable.

“We had a popular item once that we discovered had dies that did not fit our profile. That product had to be removed from our shelves,” Ryan Munchrath explained while profiling his store.

Ryan Muchrath now performs daily operations of the store alongside his brother as Ann passed away in 2011.

The shop is a godsend to the neighborhood which for many years was much of what was found as far as groceries in Oak Cliff. While larger stores are moving in, Ann’s stays bustling filling special requests with the latest recommendations from Dr Oz and and inquiring shoppers.

The cafe which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner has a large selection of smoothies, prepared foods and meats, and blended juices to keep you satisfied along with soups and entrees that are superb. Also find a selection of nutritional supplements, homeopathic remedies, herbs, sports supplements, and function-specific vitamins that are filled by a staff with quality and value in mind.

The store also supplies a vast selection of organic and grass-fed beef, chicken, turkey, buffalo, and fish. You will also find farm fresh organic eggs and milk as well as choices for vegetarians and vegans.
