Dallas Hale Adds Yoshi Shabu Shabu to his Portfolio

Yoshi Shabu Shabu is a traditional hot pot restaurant that serves thinly sliced meats and vegetables that are cooked quickly in broth and paired with delicious dipping sauces. With locations in Plano and Richardson, Yoshi is a popular go-to for local communities. Today, Dallas Hale of Crafted Bar Concepts and Yoshi Shabu Shabu are pleased to announce their new partnership, as Yoshi will join Crafted Bar Concepts alongside other popular bars and restaurants, including Sushi Marquee and Ebb & Flow.

Shabu shabu-style dining has roots that trace back hundreds of years, with inspiration hailing from China before the modern iteration was popularized in Japan in the mid-1900s. Yoshi opened in Richardson in 2014 and expanded to Plano in 2018, with a focus on high-quality, locally sourced meats, including grass-fed beef, cage-free chicken and heritage Berkshire pork. Their menu is broken into sections, with several small plates available in addition to meats, seafood and vegetables.

To experience shabu shabu, diners choose a soup base with varying flavors and heat levels, and then choose their meats and seafoods, with options including wagyu ribeye, pork belly, shrimp and scallops, plus vegetables and add-ons.

Yoshi helped to popularize this dish in DFW and is excited to partner with Crafted Bar Concepts as the business grows.

As part of the new structure, the Crafted Bar Concepts team will create a new cocktail program featuring fresh ingredients, so the drinks are as thoughtful and well-executed as the food. They will also begin looking for expansion opportunities to bring shabu shabu dining to more consumers.

“I’ve been a fan of Yoshi Shabu Shabu since they first opened, gaining an appreciation for the food and the owners, who introduced so many DFW diners to this style of dining,” says Dallas Hale, CEO of Crafted Bar Concepts. “Now with Yoshi falling under our umbrella, we’re able to combine our collective talents to take this restaurant to the next level.”

Yoshi Shabu Shabu currently has two locations: one in Richarson, and one in Plano. For more information, visit yoshishabushabu.com.
