Portillo’s Food Truck – The Beef Bus – Returns to North Texas

Due to popular demand following a successful two-week tour of the region this past July, the Portillo’s Beef Bus Food Truck will be returning to the Lone Star state from September 12-24, to serve up some of its famed Chicago-Style menu offerings ahead of the Company’s highly anticipated grand opening in The Colony later this year. Over the course of its return to the greater Dallas area, the 32-foot, Beef Bus will visit various cities, events and locations, making it easy for everyone to grab a taste.

Guests who visit the Beef Bus during this latest tour of the Lone Star State can purchase an array of classic offerings from Portillo’s menu, including Chicago-style Hot Dogs with all the fixings, a mini version of its famous Italian Beef Sandwich, Char-Grilled Italian or Maxwell Street Polish Sausages, and crispy crinkle-cut French Fries.

Menu

Chicago-Style Hot Dog

Chicago-style hot dog with everything, which includes mustard, relish, celery salt, freshly chopped onions, sliced red ripe tomatoes, kosher pickle and sport peppers piled onto a perfectly steamed poppy seed bun.

Italian Beef Sandwich

A mini version of Portillo’s famous Italian beef sandwich. Our beef is slow-roasted for four hours, thinly sliced, served on freshly baked French bread, and best topped with Portillo’s homemade, oven-roasted sweet peppers or hot giardiniera peppers.

Char-Grilled Polish Sausage

Char-grilled polish sausage, made like our Chicago-style hot dog with everything, includes mustard, celery salt, freshly chopped onions, sliced red ripe tomatoes, kosher pickle, and sport peppers piled onto a steamed poppy seed bun.

Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage
Maxwell St. in Chicago is where this style of Polish sausage was born more than 75 years ago. Our founder, Dick Portillo, frequented the famous corner of Maxwell St. & Halsted St. as a young boy, where he recalls the sweet smell of grilled onions from the Polish sausage street carts. Dick brought the Maxwell St. Polish to the menu so everyone could enjoy the taste of Maxwell Street at Portillo’s. The Portillo’s Maxwell St. Polish is a Makowski’s Real Sausage, grilled to perfection, and topped with lots of yellow mustard and sliced grilled onions.
