Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen Debuts New Menus

Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen, the popular eatery with locations in historic downtown McKinney and Watter’s Creek in Allen has added new entree offerings, savory sides and specialty cocktails to the unique menu which offers something for everyone. 

Grilled duck breast (heirloom carrots, whiskey butter, baby kale and ginger-carrot puree), a revamped charcuterie board featuring chefs’ selections, creamy hummus, jumbo lump crab cake with Brussels sprout salad, traditional wedge salad, creamed corn and heirloom carrots fill out the extensive menu.

Sugarbacon’s most popular items including premium cut steaks, dry aged beef, bone-in pork chop, braised short rib, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, and the “Proper Burger” remain as well as the signature Sugarbacon (crispy pork belly topped with brown sugar glaze, watermelon chutney, BBQ sauce, Serrano peppers and cilantro).

New cocktails such at the Purple Haze (blueberry infused Kettle One vodka, St. Germain, peach schnapps, lemon and lavender smoke) and the Fools Gold (Basil Hayden bourbon, vanilla, honey, lemon juice and Luxardo cherry) highlight a full list of original libations and whiskey selections.

Happy hour is offered Monday through Friday with $6 Bee Stings, $8 wines by the glass, $10 off wines by the bottle, $1 off draft beer and discounted deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes and Sugarbacon ($6-$10).

A “proper kitchen with amazing food,” Sugarbacon has become an upscale dining destination for friends and families seeking a unique experience for happy hour, dinner and brunch. Located in world-class shopping destinations, Sugarbacon is a sweet respite for holiday shoppers.

Hours of operation are Monday – Friday 4pm – 10pm, Saturday 10am- 10pm and Sunday 10am – 10pm.
