The eagerly anticipated relaunch of La Mina at The Village on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30 transformed the Dallas nightlife scene with this innovative concept that fuses vibrant cultural diversity, electrifying entertainment, and delectable cuisine during dinner service. The reimagined dynamic Latin-themed destination captivated guests with its unparalleled ambiance, unique programming, and immersive experiences for the senses, including music, art, and culinary delights.
The menu at La Mina is thoughtfully curated to celebrate diverse ingredients and mixology. The cocktail and wine menus are meticulously crafted to reflect the space’s essence, with a focus on unique combinations that evoke an earthly vibe. From 5 to 8 p.m., patrons can peruse menus consisting of a delectable selection of shared plates, ceviche, oysters, and street tacos, along with tequila and mezcal flights and a robust cocktail menu with selections meant to revitalize, transcend, and enliven.
With 400 to 500 guests each night, patrons were treated to an abundance of entertainment throughout both evenings. On Friday DJ Jejune kicked off the first half of the evening, followed later by DJ Kozlow, who played into the early hours of the morning. The following night, DJ Mac and DJ Kozlow once again energized the crowd with their electrifying music and captivating energy. The invigorating ambiance created by the décor and live performances, combined with the successful turnout of our guests, made for an enjoyable and leisurely evening for all who attended. Alongside the live music, Sunny, a skilled crystal reader, was also part of the experience. After a successful crystal reading session, Sunny incorporated the chosen crystal into a personalized necklace for the guest.
No party is complete without captivating décor and art pieces. Isaac Davies, the Dallas-based artist, painted all indoor murals for La Mina. For this particular event, fellow artist Alfonso Hernandez created a larger-than-life skeleton sculpture, which was later named Carmina and commissioned specifically for La Mina. Additionally, the presence of marigold flowers throughout the floral walls and inside the venue pays tribute to traditional Mexican design used to decorate altars, known as ‘ofrendas.’ Their bright orange color and strong scent are thought to help guide the spirits of the deceased home.

La Mina also boasts new nightly programming, engaging live DJs and entertainment on a regular basis, creating an immersive audio-visual experience that sets it apart from the conventional nightclub scene.

La Mina’s original speakeasy remains an intimate haven, accommodating up to 30 guests behind a secret door in an equally enthralling and intimate setting. One of three distinct spaces at La Mina, in addition to the original outdoor patio, is the speakeasy that complements the main space’s vibrant energy with its more subdued, yet equally enthralling, atmosphere.
La Mina’s relaunch has already created a buzz among The Village Dallas community and beyond. For the residents of The Village, La Mina represents a new local watering hole, while for outsiders, it offers an exciting reason to venture into this vibrant neighborhood. The reimagined La Mina aims to become a haven for anyone seeking an immersive cultural experience in the heart of Dallas.Â
