Malai Kitchen Celebrates 13th Anniversary of First Location in West Village

Malai Kitchen, the beloved Thai and Vietnamese dining destination that has become a staple in the Dallas culinary scene, is celebrating the 13th anniversary of its first location in West Village.

Founded in January 2011 by the dynamic husband-and-wife duo, Yasmin and Braden Wages, Malai Kitchen made its mark with the opening of its original location in Uptown/West Village. Over the years, Yasmin and Braden have expanded their footprint, with additional locations in Southlake, Fort Worth’s The Shops at Clearfork, and Preston Center.

Malai Kitchen has consistently delighted guests with a diverse menu featuring cuisine from both Thai and Vietnamese traditions that the Wages’ researched on their travels to Asia.

From the Banh Mi Vietnamese Sandwich to the whole wok-fried Branzino and the flavorful Burmese Tea Leaf Salad to the classic Pad Kee Mow, Malai Kitchen offers a wide variety of options, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail. What sets Malai Kitchen apart is its commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients, crafting everything from scratch, including curry paste, freshly pressed coconut milk, and house-made sriracha.

In addition to their thoughtful cuisine, Malai has created a unique beverage program. Several years ago, the Wages’ ventured into the art of brewing, starting their in-house beer production at the Southlake location.

Today, guests can enjoy six house-brewed Asian-style beers on tap, a testament to Malai Kitchen’s dedication to providing a unique dining experience.
