Dallas may be far from Munich, but on Thursday, September 25, Lochland’s Irish Pub is bringing the heart of Oktoberfest to Lake Highlands with a festive four-course German dinner, each course paired with one of the world’s most celebrated seasonal beers. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. and promises an evening of gemütlichkeit—good cheer, hearty food, and exceptional brews brewed exclusively for the season.
Guests will be welcomed with a crisp Warsteiner German Pilsner (4.8%), the perfect palate refresher before the first course. The meal begins with a Bavarian soft pretzel served alongside obatzda, the classic beer cheese spread, and tangy mustard sauce, paired with the malty yet refreshing Erdinger Oktoberfest (5.7%).
The second course leans into Oktoberfest tradition with Kuby’s beer bratwurst and sauerkraut, matched with the rich, golden Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest (5.8%), a beer brewed in Munich since 1417. For the third course, diners will enjoy crispy pork schnitzel with grüne soße and a side of German potato salad, paired with the festive Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier (6.3%)—a brew synonymous with the world’s largest beer hall celebrations.
To close the evening on a sweet note, Lochland’s will serve warm apple strudel topped with vanilla ice cream, alongside a stein of Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier (6%), rounding out a true taste of Bavaria.
The Oktoberfest dinner is priced at $60 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made at www.lochlandsdallas.com.
