SPCA Pet of the Week: Meet Venice and Simon

I hear you’re lookin’ for love, well, look no further.  Meet Venice, a gorgeous 1-year-old, 44 pound Pit Bull mix who is sure to make your heart melt.  She has a smooth red velvet coat, warm caramel eyes, and a delightful butterscotch nose.  When she’s not stopping hearts with her stunning looks, she’s having a blast running about the dog park, bouncing after squeaky toys, and playing tug-o-war or fetch. She is heartworm positive, but her treatments are FREE to her new family at a Metroplex-area VCA Animal Hospital after she’s adopted.             Continue reading →

SPCA Pets of the Week

Meet Ester, a spunky 14-years-young, 27-pound Terrier mix who is looking for a family to call her own.  Ester was surrendered to the SCPA of Texas on April 26 because, sadly, her previous owners moved to a place that does not allow pets.  While her life has taken quite a turn, she is excited to start this new adventure with YOU.  She is a running superstar and loves to jump and prance about the dog park.  A perfect day for her includes taking a brisk walk around the neighborhood, chasing tennis balls, and snuggling up for a delightful nap in your lap.

While she is a fantastic family pet and has previously lived with children, she would prefer to be in a home without other dogs or cats.  That way, she can be properly doted upon like the little princess that she is!  In addition to being a feisty love-bug, she is also quite talented.  Ester is the perfect lady on the leash, knows how to sit on command, and, drum roll, please… she is housetrained!  Continue reading →

SPCA of Texas Pets of the Week: Ernie and Olivia

Meet Ernie, the most adorable, loving, 1-year-old Boxer mix that you will ever meet.  Ernie is a medium sized guy, weighing in at 42 pounds-a perfect fit for just about any loving family!  He has the most gorgeous red and white coat, warm golden eyes, and cute floppy ears.  Ernie was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on April 4 so that he could find his forever home. He is looking for a home where his days will be filled with tasty jerky treats, fun toys, warm beds, and love!   Continue reading →

SPCA of Texas Pets of the Week: Domino and Inky

Like to play games? Meet Domino, a playful 3-year-old, Dalmatian/Pit Bull mix who is looking for a fun forever family. With warm auburn eyes, a sweet chocolate nose, and a velvety domino-colored coat, Domino is a stunning guy. This sweet guy is an adventurous fellow who loves to frolic about the great outdoors. In fact, Domino would make a perfect running buddy if you’re looking to get in shape and explore the neighborhood. He also enjoys playing tug-of-war and fetch, chomping down on squeaky toys, dancing in circles, and getting a nice back or belly rub. Even though he is slightly bigger than your lap, Domino likes to snuggle and is the perfect lapdog. In fact, one of his favorite ways to show you how much he loves and appreciates you is to place his head in your lap and plant gentle kisses on your hands.   Continue reading →
