If you’re looking for the perfect family pet, then look no further. Meet Lady and, just like her name implies, she is a lovely little lady. First of all, take a moment to admire her beauty. This 4-year-old Pit Bull mix has a gorgeous brindle coat, sparkling chocolate eyes, a pretty pink tongue ready to give kisses and a never-ending smile. Yes, she certainly makes it hard to say “no” to, but, then again, why would one ever want to say “no” to little ol’ Lady? She is a playful gal who enjoys running about, soaring after tennis balls, playing chase, and partaking in tug-of-war matches. Continue reading →

SPCA Pets of the Week: Claire and Little One

Meet Claire, a beautiful 1-year-old Pit Bull mix who has the most stunning eyes around. Claire was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on February 2 because her family had to move away and could not take her with them. Claire weighs a perfect 55 pounds and is ready to become your forever friend. She loves to play and is the perfect exercise buddy. Claire’s previous family said that she is leash trained and house trained, and that she also knows tricks like “sit,” “shake” and “lay down.” Though her family said she is good with children, they aren’t sure about Claire’s past with other animals. Bring the whole family, including other canine companions, in to meet Claire so everyone gets along before going home. SPCA Pets of the Week: Chiquita and Smokey

Meet Chiquita, the cutest Chihuahua mix you’ll ever meet! She is 11-years-young and 9-pounds, making her a perfect fit for any loving family. She is a gentle gal who loves daily walks and plenty of back and belly rubs. She is quite playful and enjoys bouncing after tennis balls and dancing! She would be a good family pet and already knows her way around a home. In her previous home she lived with other dogs and cats, and was house trained. Continue reading →

SPCA Pet of the Week: Meet Venice and Simon

I hear you’re lookin’ for love, well, look no further. Meet Venice, a gorgeous 1-year-old, 44 pound Pit Bull mix who is sure to make your heart melt. She has a smooth red velvet coat, warm caramel eyes, and a delightful butterscotch nose. When she’s not stopping hearts with her stunning looks, she’s having a blast running about the dog park, bouncing after squeaky toys, and playing tug-o-war or fetch. She is heartworm positive, but her treatments are FREE to her new family at a Metroplex-area VCA Animal Hospital after she’s adopted. Continue reading →

Like to play games? Meet Domino, a playful 3-year-old, Dalmatian/Pit Bull mix who is looking for a fun forever family. With warm auburn eyes, a sweet chocolate nose, and a velvety domino-colored coat, Domino is a stunning guy. This sweet guy is an adventurous fellow who loves to frolic about the great outdoors. In fact, Domino would make a perfect running buddy if you’re looking to get in shape and explore the neighborhood. He also enjoys playing tug-of-war and fetch, chomping down on squeaky toys, dancing in circles, and getting a nice back or belly rub. Even though he is slightly bigger than your lap, Domino likes to snuggle and is the perfect lapdog.
